This, our 1000th blog post, is dedicated to all the gamers who have supported us, encouraged us, cheered with us when we triumphed, and stood by us when we did not. None of this would have been possible without you. What a remarkable journey it has been since our inception in 2001.
A Legacy of Excellence SteelSeries was founded in a basement in Copenhagen. Our journey began with a simple yet powerful idea: to provide esports professionals with gear that would not just meet their needs but help them achieve victory. Today, esports professionals have won more prize money with SteelSeries products than any other brand. While we are proud of that, it’s about more than winning — it’s about making a difference.
Our passion for games, allowing them to envelope us, make us better, transport us to far away places is our drive. And it’s the best gig in the world!
Pioneering the Path Throughout our history, SteelSeries has set out to make a difference for gamers and the gaming community. We have consistently pushed ourselves to solve problems that gamers were facing that no one else had addressed. I am so proud of the Steelheads who spent long days and sleepless nights pushing the boundaries of innovation, and all the esports professionals who helped test and refine our ideas along the way. This hard work has led to a long list of "firsts” which include:

- the first brand to collaborate with esports professionals and sponsor esports players, teams, and tournaments (2002)
- the first dedicated gaming headset (2004)

And we are just getting started!
In addition to these product firsts, we celebrate many collaborations with game publishers like Bungie, Valve and Bethesda to bring product and game title collaborations around the most loved franchises in gaming like Destiny 2, Diablo IV and Genshin Impact.
